Discover how we can all help create a healthier, safer, fairer, and more affordable future at the interactive Step into the Future Now Exhibition, brought to you by the Sutherland Shire Council in partnership with the Australian Museum. Packed with smart ideas for living sustainably, the showcase explores everything from simple everyday changes to big, bold solutions.
Explore Three Amazing Displays
- Smart Towns – See how renewable energy and electric transport can power our communities.
- Clever Homes – Learn about eco-friendly building and sustainable design.
- Caring for Country – Explore traditional knowledge, like cultural burning, and how it protects nature.
Suitable for all ages, this hands-on exhibition sparks curiosity and demonstrates how technology, design, and community action can make a real difference.
Group Tours for Schools & Community Groups
Schools and community groups of up to 30 people can book a free, one-hour educator-led tour.
Future Now Fun Zone
Drop into one of our Fun Zone sessions, where kids and their grown‑ups can get hands-on with playful, creative activities everyone will enjoy. It’s the perfect chance to explore and learn together!
Mini explorers
Grab an explorer card to discover the Future Now exhibition and complete fun mini challenges. Sessions led by Council’s Urban Futures team.
