One of the simplest Good Doses we can give ourselves is taking a moment to pause with a good book. Reading can help quiet a busy mind, reduce distractions and create space for calm, reflection and imagination. Whether it's discovering a new story or revisiting an old favourite, reading offers a simple way to slow down and recharge.
Through our partnership with the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF), we're proud to support an organisation that helps inspire a love of reading and deliver culturally relevant books and literacy resources to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in remote Communities.

Glow Dose: The Moon Story ($24.99)
Written by Marshia Cook, in Kriol and English, and winner of the 2025 Karajia Award for children's literature. Glowing like the moon, this book showcases beautiful illustrations and a sweet story of a family camping under the moon and stars near Fitzroy Crossing, WA.
Calm Dose: We Look, We Find ($14.99)
Created by children and families from Napranum Early Childhood Centre, Far North Queensland. A gentle, slow-paced story about walking on Country and noticing what's around you: "When walking on Country, what comes to your mind? If you spend some time looking, what will you find?"
Energy Dose: Sweet Home: Stories of Country and Family ($17.99)
28 teenagers from Ḏawurr Boarding House in Nhulunbuy (NT) write vivid, high-energy stories about hunting, fishing, footy and athletics. Celebrating pride, connection and what home means across 13 different remote Communities.
All the books are published by ILF, and their authors in remote Communities receive 25% royalties. Books are available online on the ILF Shop and in selected stores.
The Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) is a national charity of the Australian Book Industry, working with remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities across Australia. They are Community-led, responding to requests from remote Communities for culturally relevant books, including early learning board books, resources, and programs to support Communities to create and publish their stories in languages of their choice.
Since 2011, the Indigenous Literacy Foundation has gifted over 1 million books to 500+ remote Communities through the Book Supply program, published 235 titles reflecting 45 Indigenous languages, and implemented their early literacy program, Book Buzz, into 116 remote playgroups.
